Laptitude
Get ready for the hands-on Laptitude laparoscopy workshop, your chance to step into the world of minimally invasive surgery. Laptitude is an innovative MedTech company developing portable laparoscopic simulators with real-time performance feedback. Used worldwide in surgical training, their systems objectively measure precision, coordination, and efficiency.
During this interactive session, you’ll practice essential laparoscopic skills such as camera navigation, depth perception, and bimanual coordination and experience firsthand how challenging and rewarding minimally invasive surgery can be.
Medtronic Endovascular:
Join the Medtronic Endovascular VR Workshop and experience the future of vascular surgery. In this session, you will use advanced VR headsets to simulate an endovascular aortic repair (EVAR), a minimally invasive procedure used to treat aortic aneurysms. The procedure will be performed in pairs, emphasizing the importance of communication, coordination, and teamwork.
Medtronic
Take part in the Medtronic Hugo™ RAS dry lab robotic workshop and discover the next generation of robotic-assisted surgery. During this hands-on session, Medtronic specialists will guide you through the fundamentals of robotic surgery. This is a unique opportunity to familiarize yourself with the Hugo™ RAS platform, as it will be exclusively available during this event. Whether you are considering a surgical career or are interested in the technological evolution of the operating room, this workshop offers a valuable introduction to the future of minimally invasive surgery.
Stryker
Participate in the Stryker interactive hands-on craniotomy workshop and experience the technical precision required in neurosurgery. During this practical session, you will develop high-speed drilling skills by performing a simulated craniotomy on a hard-boiled egg. Step one involves creating an entry point without perforating the inner membrane, followed by using a craniotome to fashion a bone flap while preserving the underlying layer, mimicking the precision required to protect the dura during real cranial surgery. In addition, you will practice soft tissue resection using an ultrasonic aspirator, performed on an orange to simulate controlled tumor debulking. This exercise highlights the fundamentals of tissue handling, precision, and safety that are essential in neurosurgical oncology.

Unique opportunity
We are giving away 2 free spots for the Junior Orsi Summer School.
Normally, this Summer School is exclusively reserved for students from BDC, the University of Modena, or the Vattikuti Foundation. This year, two of our members will get the chance to attend for free.
The Summer School takes place on August 17-19 2026 at Orsi Academy and is a three-day, hands-on program focused on robotic surgery. International proctors from Germany and Italy will guide medical students and first-year residents through practical training sessions, making this a unique opportunity to gain early exposure to robotic surgery.
How can you win one of the spots? Join us at the MedTech Summit. All attendees with a paying membership will automatically enter the draw, and two winners will be selected.
